This one’s for the church folks — pastors, women’s ministry leaders, Sunday school teachers, and every well-meaning believer who’s ever thought, “I want to help, but I have no idea what to do.”
Here’s what grieving moms wish you knew: we don’t need you to have answers. We need you to show up. We don’t need the perfect verse at the perfect moment — we need someone willing to sit in the uncomfortable silence with us. We don’t need to be fixed. We need to be carried.
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2, ESV). That’s the assignment. Not explaining. Not theologizing. Bearing.
In this episode, I share — gently and honestly — what actually helps and what hurts, straight from the hearts of moms who’ve lived it. If your church wants to love grieving families well, especially after a suicide loss, this is a good place to start.
